Karst features are typical of areas molded on carbonate rocks. However, these features can also be located on others rock types as itabirite and iron crust, for example. Thus, the Quadrilatero Ferrifero/MG become an interesting area for the study of features developed on non-carbonate rocks. In this context, it was investigated two Quadrilatero Ferrifero's areas: The State Park of Rola Moca Ridge, which has natural cavities and the Gandarela Ridge, which has depressions. The methodological procedures were based on: (i) literature review; (ii) field data collection; (iii) preparation of cartographic and topography materials and (iv) analysis of results. The results showed that the studied areas have a relevant density of features when compared to traditional karst areas, with an index of 1.81 cav/km(2) at the State Park of Rola Moca Ridge and 1.01 dep/Km(2) at Gandarela Ridge. It was possible to observe that many of these cavities and depressions, especially the developed ones, are on itabirite and/or on iron crust and they can have their genesis associated with dissolutions processes.
