SERIALS PRICING AND SCHOLARLY PUBLICATIONS - A BIG 8 UNIVERSITY CASE-STUDY

This paper presents the results of a price study of fifty-one STM journals, sponsored by North American scholarly societies or associations but published by foreign commercial presses. It was undertaken as part of a project initiated at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries for the purpose of educating faculty editors and university administrators about factors contributing to the serials crisis.
