摘要
In recent years, there has been a growing effort at the international and national level to develop policies that recognize indigenous peoples. This study aims at examining how international legal instruments regarding the rights of indigenous peoples have been entering the national governmental system, resulting in a reordering of the organizational logic of the state through the proliferation of new assemblages of territory, authority, and rights (TAR). By analyzing how the recognition of indigenous peoples' rights is taking place in Brazil and Canada, I intend to demonstrate that indigenous peoples have been forming these new assemblages of TAR within the national framework, which is promoting a reordering of the organizational logic of both states.
