EFFECT OF IMPURITY AND VANHOVE SINGULARITY IN HIGH-TC SUPERCONDUCTORS

摘要：
Nonmagnetic disorder is shown to be pair breaking in the BCS-van Hove singularity model which has been suggested as a theoretical description of the high-T(c) superconductors. We calculate the effects of nonmagnetic and magnetic impurities on the superconducting transition temperature T(c) and discuss the relation between the theoretical results and the experimental reports.
