REMARKS ON THE WEAK STAR FIXED-POINT PROPERTY IN THE DUAL OF C(OMEGA)

It is essentially known that the Banach space dual of C(Omega), where Omega is an infinite compact Hausdorff topological space, fails the w*-fpp for nonexpansive maps. In recovering this we obtain results concerning the question of separable determination of the w*-fpp. Examples using affine contractions and isometries are also included.
