摘要：
The annual rate of reported cases of meningococcal disease in France is 1/100,000 population. In 1989, approximately 60 % of cases were caused by serogroupe B. Secondary cases account for 3 % of meningococcal infections in France. Prevention of these secondary cases rests on chemoprophylaxis and immunization. Analysis of French epidemiologic surveillance findings and data from a review of the literature, forms the basis for new French guidelines.
