摘要
This article presents data about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Latin America, revealing the challenge it poses and the kind of responses it requires from theology. It maps briefly the main forms of religious response to the epidemic, as well as some theological reflections produced in Latin America. It asks about the little attention given to it, especially in the context of Liberation Theology, in contrast with a more dense production by feminist and gay/queer theologies, pointing to an "indecent theology" as a theological discourse and practice able to respond to the issues presented by the epidemic. At last, proposes the "body", taken in its materiality, as a fundamental category for the theological production starting from the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
