SUICIDE IN TYUMEN AND THE SOUTH OF THE TYUMEN REGION (WESTERN SIBERIA): DYNAMICS FOR 2007-2012

The suicide rate in the city of Tyumen below the average: in 2012 - 17.2 per 100,000 population (the ratio of male / female - 1: 4,4). In the south of the Tyumen region in 2012 is higher than the national average - 32.4 per 100,000 population (the ratio of male / female - 1: 4,3). The main method of suicide is self-hanging - to 91.1%. In the last 6 years there has been a positive trend towards further reducing the number of suicides. For 10 months in 2012 in Tyumen registered 777 suicide attempts - 143.4; in the south of the Tyumen region 368 attempts - 67.0 per 100,000 population per year. The main way for women - self-poisoning - to 75.0% in men - self-cuts - to 47.3%. The city organized the systematic integration of suicidal acts (suicide register).
