摘要
Transport through liquid membrane bilayers generated by a lecithin-cholesterol mixture in the presence of insulin and vasopressin has been studied. The data indicate an increase in permeability when a pH gradient is imposed across the membrane such that insulin or vasopressin is present on the acidic side. It has been shown that reversing the pH gradient effectively blocks the change. These trends are consistent with trends reported in the case of channel formation by clostridial toxins in bilayer lipid membranes. © 1990.
