Poetics and Hermeneutics in Sahagun's Colloquios

This article reassumes the philological discussion inspired by the manuscript Colloquios y doctrina Cristiana, attributed to Bernardino de Sahagun, in regard to both the particularities of his authorship and its historical character and genre adscription. Upon these grounds, it attempts to contribute to the analysis of some central categories of hermeneutical thought and to discern the nuances of these categories from the peculiarities of this text, so very important to the Latin-American discursive tradition.
