摘要：
Semilinear second-order partial differential equations in two independent variables with rational right-hand sides are investigated. It is found that the Painleve admissible partial differential equations can be transformed to the form with maximally three poles and equations with two and three poles are classified. Results of a series of papers on the Painleve classification are summarized.
