Acneiform Eruption in a Colon Cancer Patient Treated with Cetuximab

Setuksimab is a new monoclonal antibody used in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. The most common adverse event effecting the skin is an acneiform eruption. Negative cultures, spontaneous regression, response to conventional acne treatment, and improvement of the lesions despite continuation of setuksimab treatment are important features. There is a correlation between the intensity of eruption and response to treatment. We report the following case to remind setuksimab as a causative agent of sudden acneiform rash in a patient receving anticancer treatment and also to review possible treatment choices.
