DEVELOPMENT OF A VISCOUS BOUNDARY-LAYER IN A GRAVITY-DRIVEN FILM FLOW ALONG AN INCLINED WALL

摘要
The behaviour of a developing boundary layer in a gravity-driven film now along an inclined wall, is examined. The non-linear boundary layer equations are solved by following the momentum integral technique to determine the film-thickness and the free-stream velocity at the onset of the fully developed now. It is found that the film-thickness at the entrance length increases with the interaction parameter and decreases with the angle of inclination of the wall.
