摘要
An apparatus is used with a thin walled stainless steel cell and a four-pole potentiometric arrangement to perform precise measurements of the electric conductivity sigma of liquid cesium to high temperatures at equilibrium vapour pressure. Results are given from 200 to 800 degrees C. A five-parameter equation for use from the melting temperature of 28.4 degrees C to 1200 degrees C is presented. Conductivity values of 17705 and 6435 ohm(-1) cm(-1) were obtained for 200 and 800 degrees C, respectively. The relative expected error is given in dependence of temperature. A typical value is +/- 0.34%. All data are well within the range of validity of the near-free-electron, NFE, model for metallic conductance.
