Description of the Case of Implementation of an Environmental Management System at Rio Grande Energia S/A

This work according to presents the structuration of the System of Environment Management of norm NBR ISO 14,001 in the Rio Grande Energia S/A, concessionaire of distribution of electric energy that acts in the Rio Grande do Sul. The work standes out the importance of the environment question in the organizations and the necessity to adopt and to keep one responsible environment politics, as much in function of the public pressure, as in function of the increasing requirements of the environment laws. The Rio Grande Energia is in the final phase of implantation of its System of Environmental Management aiming at its adequacy to the market and objectifying one future certification. The main actions of the company will be boarded objectifying the fulfilment of its environmental politics, the attendance to the laws and the satisfaction of the customers.
