DEMONSTRATION OF PHOTONIC PACKET-SWITCHED RING NETWORK WITH OPTICALLY TRANSPARENT NODES

摘要
We demonstrate the operation of a photonic packet-switched ring network using optically transparent nodes. The demonstration uses three nodes, comprising one control node and two remote nodes. The control node supervises the network and provides optical carriers for all inter-node communications. Operating protocols for this class of network are discussed.
