Authenticity of leadership in the Brazilian Ministry of Heath - a case study

The present article aims to show how senior manager leadership may best lead civil servants and thus improve public service, especially the public health care system. In order to confirm that statement, the article presents a theoretical analysis about the management transformations in the Brazilian public service, as well as relations of power and leadership and also a qualitative research on administrative workers of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. As a conclusion, the article invites a reflection be made on the intersection of case studies and the understanding that the leader manager can actually improve and ameliorate the team's results and therefore the delivery of public services.
