摘要
The competitiveness of tourist destinations has been the subject of studies trying to understand how the phenomenon occurs and how someone can measure and compare it, pointing out advantages and disadvantages of one destination over another. The objective of this paper is to examine a possible correlation between the competitive performance perceived by managers connected to the tourism and the actual performance of competitiveness indicators extracted from the model proposed by Dwyer and Kim (2003) for competitive analysis. The study was developed in three cities in the state of Santa Catarina, where tourism was the largest economic sector representation. The study was a quantitative, level exploratory, descriptive bias based on analysis of competitiveness indicators. It was concluded that there is correspondence between the two forms of competitive performance evaluation, which demonstrates the relevance in the development of studies on the subject, backed by the perception of managers
