A modified ''surface renewal'' model is proposed from an analysis of the physical pattern of the quasiordered structure of the flow at the edges of a turbulent boundary layer. The model is used to calculate the relative law of friction for the turbulent flow of a homogeneous gas-liquid mixture in a channel.
