Captives in pastoral farms of southern Mato Grosso (1825-1888) Research considerations

Traveler's diary, inventories and works of chroniclers allow a study about the labor farms in Mato-Grosso state. The narratives of travelers engaged in private missions are significant to the present investigation because offers the possibility of knowledge about the pastoral farms, field's life, the buildings and also the labor used. In this work I introduce some reflections about the slave workers in the mato-grossense fields, specially illuminated by travel literature from 19 century.
