摘要：
This article discusses the surgical and orthodontic management of impacted maxillary canines. It describes which criteria to evaluate to determine the appropriate timing and method for uncovering of both labial and palatal impactions. This information reaffirms the process of proper diagnosis and intervention in order to enhance not only the esthetics and periodontal health of previously impacted teeth, but to insure their stability within the dental arch.
