摘要
The survival of S. dublin in cattle slurry is influenced by the presence of other microorganisms. S. dublin multiplied in sterilized slurry and subsequently survived for > 370 days; in natural slurry or sterilized slurry to which bacteria originally isolated from slurry were added, no multiplication was observed and S. dublin survived for shorter periods. The survival of S. dublin appears to be influenced by competition with the normal microbial flora of slurry and on the production of acid compounds toxic to S. dublin.
