摘要
In this work, the tensile properties of type 304 stainless steel are discussed as they relate to temperature and microstructure. A temperature-strain-transformation diagram is presented. A semi-empirical model for stress transfer between phase components is described in which the shear-lag analysis is used. Flow curves for austenite and martensite phases in the microstructure of the steel are calculated. The relationship between the found stresses and strains for each phase constituent can be expressed by a Ludwik-type equation. The parameters for these relationships are given in the paper.
