摘要
This paper presents an overview of unmanned ship projects. In the world in the field of e-Navigation projects on ship remote control and creation of Autonomous unmanned ships are underway that combine long-term research and trading objectives. It was also shown that the unmanned ship projects include such Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) powered by renewable energy as well as unmanned civil vessels. The main dimensions, class, nomination, endurance and characteristics of projects, used technologies, the year of initialization and completion of each project, the company and the country initiator, investment cost and so on are considered. A theoretical research method has been performed, which includes description of existing unmanned ships projects. The results of the research make it possible to understand that understand that unmanned ships are equipped with the necessary data-processing units, sensors, control and communication systems and are able to automatically perform various tasks without requiring the support from a crew aboard the ship. The article provides references to literature that confirm or explain the material presented in this paper.
