This study investigated the factors related to the supply of social work services through a survey of those recently granted direct reimbursability for private practice. Results suggest the importance of the age of young children and the influence of local market factors on supply of services. In light of these findings, employment and professional regulatory policies are discussed. © 1990 Human Sciences Press.
