C-13 nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts of poly(3-methyl-1-butene) were calculated on the basis of the C-13 gamma-effect and application of the rotational isomeric state model to assign the spectrum to the tacticity in the chain. The assignments of the C1 and C3 carbons were performed at tetrad and pentad levels, respectively.
