摘要
The experimental data obtained by Hoogeveen et al. [Phys. Rev. A 39, 5539 (1989)] on light-induced viscous flow in a gas are theoretically explained for the entire range of pressure used. The observed data can be successfully accounted for by means of generalized hydrodynamic equations for radiation and matter. In particular, the low-pressure data are closely related to the Knudsen problem observed in the tube flow of rarefied gases.
