THEORY OF CONVECTIVE HEAT AND MASS-TRANSFER TO SPHERICAL-CAP BUBBLES

摘要
The forced convective heat and mass transfer to spherical-cap bubbles were investigated analytically. Potential flow was assumed outside the bubble except at the bubble surface where the boundary layer approximation was adopted. The present analytical study produced the following exact solution: Nu = 2.113 (Pe)(1/2) for the average Nusselt number where Pe is the Peclet number. The derived equation was compared with the available experimental mass-transfer results.
