摘要
SPECT is a complementary investigation in skeletal scintigraphy. Usually it is performed after planar whole body scan. Due to absent superimposition of activity pathological changes in bone turnover can be recognized more sensitively. Local relations of pathological findings improve by SPECT techniques. SPECT appears to be a very useful tool in investigations of the basal skull and facial bones as well as of the spine. In some cases SPECT is also useful in the diagnosis of the hip and the knees.
