摘要
Resistant hypertension is a serious therapeutic challenge. Contemporary hypotensive drugs often fail to achieve normal blood pressure despite suitable doses and preferred drugs combinations. There is a growing clinical and experimental evidence pointing at neurogenic dysregulations contributing markedly to preservation of high blood pressure and subsequent target-organ damage. Advanced medical technologies provide a variety of new therapeutic measures in hypertensiology. Among them interventional percutaneous renal arteries denervation has turned out to be most successful with reference to reduction of elevated blood pressure and normalisation of biochemical parameters as well. Ongoing clinical trials will undoubtedly extend a list of indications and new applications for this method.
