Follow-up of the Master in Nursing graduates in the intensive care unit, surgical and perinatal areas of the Faculty of Nursing and Obstetrics, Mexico State Autonomous University

In the Faculty of Nursing and Obstetrics was implemented in the year 2002, the program called Institutional Monitoring System of Graduates, which allowed monitoring the Master in Nursing graduates in order to make a diagnosis of their current situation. It was important to identify various characteristics of the graduates such as the branches in which they are working, wages, unemployment, among others, which in turn could be related to their level of education and give information to the new generations who choose postgraduate study. Follow-up studies of graduates are a tool for the evaluation of graduate programs that let people check, compare and weigh the achievement of program objectives and the development and graduate profile in the workplace as well as membership and impact of such programs in the field of teaching, research and technological development.
