摘要：
The problems faced by Medicine students to pass the first subject of their degree has led us to consider the need to study the factors that may influence this situation. Among these factors, we may find socio cultural features of parents that have an influence on the development of their children in different ways. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine whether the level of education and the occupation of parents were related to passing the first subject during the first year of studies. A deeper understanding of this situation would allow us to seek feasible strategies to solve this difficult situation related to college admission.
