摘要
Lexical-semantic deficits can turn into barriers for the educational progress of children and adolescents with developmental or academic problems. Developmental tasks at school age include: the growth and improvement of vocabulary, the development of metalinguistic and strategic abilities, and the acquisition of a figurative as well as a cognitive academic language. In education, language has 2 characteristics: language is the object of learning, and at the same time an instrument of learning. This is particularly true for the more and more abstract knowledge to be acquired during later school development. Interprofessional collaboration leads to therapeutic and curriculum-implemented measures, which are the origin of appropriate support for the language impaired children and adolescents in order to attain compensation and rehabilitation.
