摘要
We have characterized the human colour-vision system from the standpoint of Information Theory, by the separate analyses of the responses of the different colour-vision mechanisms in terms of periodic energy spectral distributions. Within the domain of chromatic frequencies, we analyse how chromatic information is transmitted, according to the formalism of various current vision models, which enable us to appreciate more clearly the differences in the definitions which these models make for the different stages of chromatic perception. The results indicate that, to a greater or lesser degree, information is filtered for frequencies above 6-7.2 cycles/400 nm.
