Integration of Technology in Mathematics Education

The mathematics education understood as communication experiences, knowledge, abilities, skills, attitudes and values of the mathematical, activity, with the aim of forming a human being competent in their fields and with a better understanding of the world cannot and must avoid the incorporation of the use of technology in their work. From the abacus to more complex computers have mathematical knowledge as a basic element in your design or operation. Moreover, many of the mathematical developments that occurred in the past without apparent practical applications provided the conceptual tools for further technological devices. On the other hand, new advances in technology have allowed the development of better and more powerful mechanisms of mathematical calculation in all its meanings. With the addition of telematics (primarily with the use of the internet) in the more diverse areas of human activity, is now imperative to incorporate information technology and communication (ITC's) in education, particularly in university education. This need resizing actions and roles, both the teacher and the student to achieve integration make assertively. From the Virtual Campus project are some elements that enable the use of ITC's in mathematics education from the virtual classrooms, a Moodle, Web platform also show experiences that demonstrate performance in their new roles assumed by teachers and students to use Virtual Campus in the b- learning mode, which is being implemented.
