An incursion into the world of work of San Juan youth: their insertion and work itineraries

Unemployment, informality, labour precariousness and their effects in the deterioration of the general conditions of life are phenomena that seem to have been installed in Argentina since the decade of the 90s. The crisis that exploded in the country in the period 2001-2002 intensified these characteristics backing up the poverty and Social inequality, being the young people from average and poor sectors, the most affected groups, to whom possibilities of social incorporation by means of labor way become increasingly distant. The purpose of this presentation is to describe the occupational situation of San Juan young people from popular sectors. In this instance we show results, product of the quantitative strategy, in which we worked with a final sample of 569 young people of both sexes from different departments of the province.
