摘要：

The following paper aims to provide a historical overview of the understanding and implementation of the pastoral work of the church, each time highlighting the major milestones of this ecclesial activity as a response to the challenges that each new contextual situation has been raised to the mission of the church and Christian witness. The text is an invitation to continue to articulate new pastoral actions that respond to a socio-cultural reality that is always in change and transformation.
