摘要：
Representatives of the Family Notanopliidae (Brachiopoda) are recorded for the first time from the South American Devonian sequence. The occurrence of Boucotia argentina nov. sp. in the Lower Devonian Talacasto Formation of the Argentine Precordillera bears an important meaning from a paleogeographical standpoint because the associated fauna is still traditionally regarded as typical for the Malvinokaffric Realm.
