摘要：
Study programmes in technical fields are seen as good basis for a professional career. Although the Austria economy is lacking technicians, the demand of interested students for study programmes in technical fields is stagnating. Actual programmes to increase this demand can be considered as cosmetic measures, since societal prejudices and traditional misjudgements still coin the image of technics.
