MODELING RESISTIVE STRIPS WITH FINITE-ELEMENTS FOR TE POLARIZATION

摘要
A formulation for modeling RF scattering from infinitely thin resistive strips is developed for TE(z) polarization (H-pol). A finite element frequency domain approach using the Galerkin weak form and special ''gap'' elements is employed. The resistive strips can be tapered, and immersed in an arbitrary inhomogeneous dielectric/magnetic medium. This formulation has been integrated into an existing finite element code and results are given. These results compare well to moment method solutions.
