摘要
Electromagnetic properties of artificial isotropic chiral composites are calculated based on the analytical antenna model for the polarizabilities of small bianisotropic wire-and-loop particles and on a numerical simulation technique. Averaged media parameters are estimated using the Maxwell-Garnett model. Theoretical results are compared with the transmission coefficients for a composite slab measured at microwave frequencies. The analytical model is seen to provide an accurate description in the area of the first resonance of the structure and at lower frequencies, which corresponds to the approximations made in the theoretical modeling.
