We have evaluated the betabeta2nu half lives of 11 heavy deformed nuclei, using the pseudo SU(3) approach together with a summation method, obtaining good agreement with the available data, and making testable predictions, quite different from the QRPA ones in some cases. The present calculations confirm preliminar results obtained using the closure approximation, which exhibit the measured U-238 decay ocurring via the two neutrino mode.
