摘要
Nitric oxide (NO) fluxes from three different peat soil sites during 1992-94 were studied. There was no detectable NO emission from a virgin mire. The average emission of NO-N from a drained peat soil site used for grass cultivation was 64 mu g N m(-2) h(-1). On the same field a plot with no grass cover emitted on an average 300 mu g NO-N m(-2) h(-1). The average emission from a drained and forested mire site was 5.8 mu g NO-N m(-2) h(-1). Lowering of water table seems to be needed for emissions of NO from peat soils. Cultivation practises increase the emissions of NO more than draining for forestry. Considering their large area in the northern latitudes, organic soils are potential sources of NO among other biogenic sources.
