摘要
In the paper there are discussed the results of the analysis of temperature and deformation rate influences on static mechanical properties for Al-8Al4C3 system. The pronounced change of plastic properties was shown in the temperature range of 350-450-degrees-C at the deformation rate 10(-1) s-1 as a consequence of dynamic polygonizaton together with the grain boundary sliding. The parameters of state equation and apparent activation energy of the deformation process (325 kJ m-1) were evaluated. From the analysis of fracture micromechanisms follows that low-temperature fractures have transcrystalline character, at the temperatures above 400-degrees-C the intercrystalline character of the failure is dominant.
