摘要
The paper analyses the interaction between flexural and flexural - torsional buckling in the case of monosymmetrical steel compression members, namely [, [, [, L and T sections. Theoretical analysis has led to the conclusion that this interaction can be classified as weak or medium. Laboratory tests were performed on welded T sections. An approximate method based on an interpolation between column curves in order to allow for the detrimental effect of instability coupling is suggested for practical design.
