摘要
Background. There is lack of analyses of the quality of life in patients of interventional cardiology as a heterogeneous group. There is also little research on the determination of the level of disease acceptance in patients with cardiovascular disorders. Objectives. The purpose of the study was to assess the quality of life in patients of the interventional cardiology unit with regard to the level of health behaviors and the level of acceptance of the disease. Material and methods. The study group consisted of 111 patients of the interventional cardiology unit. The study used a questionnaire assessing quality of life WHOQoL-BREF, Behavioral Health Inventory, Acceptance of Illness Scale and an original survey with questions about socio-demographic variables. Results. The average age in the study group was 59.76 +/- 9.98. BMI in the study group was 28.31 +/- 4.29. The largest group, 45 patients (40.54%) had angina pectoris. The overall perception of the quality of life in the study group was 3.80 +/- 0.75, the overall perception of their own health: 3.02 +/- 0.88. Average quality of life was highest in the social domain: 15.09 +/- 2.41, and the lowest in the physical domain: 13.73 +/- 4.49. There was a positive correlation between positive mental attitude and performance in the psychological domain of the quality of life ( r = 0.243; p = 0.01). It was noted that there was a positive correlation between the acceptance of the disease level and the overall evaluation of the quality of life, including each of its domains. Conclusions. In care for patients of the interventional cardiology unit, there should be more attention paid to the rehabilitation which restores the best possible physical efficiency as well as patient education that prepares them for self-care. It was also determined that a specific focus on health behavior education should be made in the group of patients who demonstrated deficits in this area.
