摘要：
A difference scheme of quasicharacteristics of second-order of approximation is proposed for solving mixed problems for systems of hyperbolic equations. The scheme is based on the representation of equations in expanded characteristic form. The approximation and stability of the proposed scheme are analysed in the case of a Cauchy problem for the linear transport equation.
