摘要
This paper describes a study of preparation of ZnO ceramic powders for the manufacture of varistors. The semiconductor properties of ZnO were controlled by incorporating other oxides, and by sintering atmosphere, temperature and time, Powder preparation procedures are discussed, and the preparation of colloidal powders of the required oxides from water soluble salts is described. A definite influence of the type of precursor salt was found and powders prepared from different salts have different sinterability.
