摘要
Overcrowding and congestion of emergency departments worldwide lead to increased incidents, compromise patient safety and overburden staff. In addition, patients and referring doctors are disappointed with service delivery. Standardized project management, change management, continuous improvement process and lean management principles should be regularly applied management tools for hospitals. Based on a case scenario this article highlights the application of various management tools to improve patient centeredness and enhance staff and patient satisfaction.
