摘要：
The aim of this paper is to look objectively at the various approaches to failure modelling that have been applied to anisotropic materials. An attempt will be made to define the characteristics of a successful model of a composite material. Various representative theories will be considered and comparison drawn with experimental data from bi-axial and off-axis tests carried out on Carbon- and Kevlar- Fibre-Reinforced Epoxy.
